How Should I Remember You is a poetic exploration of grief as an expression of love. The 18-minute documentary, completed as the final project of my MA in Documentary Filmmaking from UAL, reflects on the changing nature of grief, the impossibility of truly knowing a dead parent and the fragility of memory. A deeply personal film shot over the course of the summer two years after the death of my dad, the film explores how his passing has changed my relationship to him, my family and myself.
